Over 420 children (ages 4-14) participate in the Henniker Youth Athletics’ Program. Although the sports program is mainly funded through Henniker’s taxes, and thousands of hours of volunteer time, there are always items that are needed that are not provided for in the budget. To help fund items needed, the Henniker Youth Athletics’ Fundraising Committee members volunteer their time coordinating and running the snack shacks, hosting sport picture events, selling apparel and organizing other fundraising occasions.
The following fundraising events have become annual parts of the committee’s efforts.
Fisher Cats Baseball Game (Special Event)
Picture Day - At the beginning of each sports season the committee holds a picture day. You can purchase individual and/or team photos and the committee earns a percentage of each package/item purchased.
Apparel Sales - Each season the committee offers T-shirts (short sleeve and long sleeve), Hooded Sweatshirts, and pull over Wind Breakers with sports specific logos.
Snack Shacks - Each season the committee organizes volunteers to run the snack shacks that are located around Henniker where our sports teams play their home games.
Music on Main Street - This is an event that S.H.O.T, a local organization, holds every October. The committee members set up a concession stand.
Parent’s Night Out - This event is help at Pats Peak Banquet Center in October. It is a night out for the parents that include light hors d'oeuvres, dancing, and silent auction.
